Marriott Hotel Manila Donates to Philippine National School for the Blind

One can say that Marriott Hotel Manila certainly lives up to its "sprit to serve" philosophy in line with their Global Customer Appreciation Week as they recently visited the Philippine National School for the Blind (PNSB) in Pasay City.

Marriott Hotel Manila donated fresh bed linens, plates and utensils to the PNSB for the 75 students staying in dormitories. The Marriott Hotel Manila headed by the marketing and sales executives also spent an afternoon with the children with some fun-filled games, surprises, food and giveaways for the PNSB students.

Marriott Hotel Manila believes in the importance of sharing their blessings and in giving back. Their corporate social responsibility activities are held annually and in doing so they are seeing the world in a whole new way.

It was indeed an afternoon of fun, laughter and surprises as the PNSB students also presented dance production numbers, heartwarming song interpretations and the event ended with community singing.

Marriott Hotel Manila's heartfelt service and excellence acknowledges its success by means of giving back--recognizing the need to share to the less fortunate ones sets it apart from the other hotels. The said activity is Marriott Hotel Manila's own way of saying 'thank you' for their customers loyal patronage.

Nickelodeon's Takotown: A Nickelodeon Halloween Special

Nickelodeon yearly makes halloween even more special as they never cease to present fun-filled activities for kids and kids-at-heart to enjoy come halloween. This year, Nickelodeon presented "Takotown" held at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. It was a whole afternoon for the entire family. Kids and even adults came in different costumes from their favorite cartoon characters to some fairy princess to Marvel action heroes to what not.

Nickelodeon made sure that guests will surely have a blast with lots of booth games from partner sponsors like Ace Water Spa, Universal Robina's Jack 'n Jill, etc. There were also a few photo booths where the kids had a chance to have photographs with well loved mascots from sponsors from Lotte Koala's March, Kinderino from Kinder Joy, Grimace from McDonalds and Appebon Kid from Appebon.

Those who liked to get some thrill surely enjoyed the Horror booth wherein one enters a 'haunted house' for an interactive halloween experience with the effects inside the booth. Nickelodeon also had other booths for kids to enjoy such as Vulcanizing shop, barber shop where one gets to play and have a chance to win an instant prize. Candies, toys, goodies and lots of freebies made the said afternoon truly memorable.

Stage games were also a hit among the kids. The program started with an awesome dance number from Planet Zips. The program were hosted by Nickelodeon Takotown officials Robi and Lesley. But personally, I truly enjoyed the intermission by Drac Cigam, an illusionist who performed magic and illusions before the crowd. It was really entertaining!

Of course, Nickelodeon acknowledged the best in halloween costumes as categorized in three areas, spookiest, hero character and most creative. I am in awe as parents and guardians as well as the other members of the families, even nannies,   have been very supportive to the, ids. One dad even did the makeup of his daughter. I've also seen adults who were in dressed in costumes as well.

As we left SMX Convention Center that day, everyone seemed to have enjoyed the Nickelodeon event. It was pretty tiring alright, but worth it just the same. The kids had fun and so did the adults.

Asian Massage Salon and Spa

It's that posh salon + spa you can't miss. Makes you think of Barbie and her Barbie world...and if you want to feel like a doll, it's time to check out Asian Massage at Greenrich Mansion on Pearl Drive, Ortigas. After all, it is one hotspot for "pampering from head to toe".

Ambiance: The atmosphere at Asian Massage is relaxed and technicians are friendly.

Services I've tried: I tried the facial treatment which was really just some sort of a facial massage. Unlike in most facial treatments I've had, this one does not have the pricking of pimples or removal of blackheads or whiteheads. The therapist simply applied all sorts of Korean based creams on my face and stroked upwards further massaging my face. The said treatment lasted for about ten minutes.

I've had a pedicure treatment. The technician although looked like a veteran at her age and she was friendly but it's either my cuticle inadvertently got nicked or ingrowns painfully picked at twice during the pedicure. I was a bit disappointed because before we started out the pedi treatment, I had already told her to be extra careful with my digits. But everything turned out okay after seeing my tootsies later.

And since I was in a day spa, I had to have a massage. I opted for a dry 30 minute back massage. The masseuse applied pressure on different points on my back. The overall effect is the dissolution of stiffness ans tension in the span of half an hour. Not bad, I went home felling mighty rejuvenated, with shiny foot nails to boot.

Asian Massage is located at 103 Greenrich Mansion, Pearl Drive, Ortigas, Pasig City.
